This procedure is sophisticated and has to be carried out under particular conditions. Production is the first step, after that drugs need to be boxed up and repacked.

Following producing, the drugs are packed into large packages and shipped further. Pharmaceutical repackaging is often performed by an external firm. This company gets pharmaceuticals and then distributes them into smaller packs, like blisters in boxes or glass bottles. The containers, in which drugs are transported have to fulfil special requirements. Sometimes the stable temperature is required to keep all the properties. That is the reason why some containers are particularly insulated. The process has a name of „cold chain”. For example, some types of capsules or vaccines have to be kept in the fridge – in patient’s home too. Another case of pharmaceutical repackaging takes place in pharmacies. Some clients come to the pharmacy to buy prescription medicines. The proper drug is produced by pharmacist following the physicians’ guidelines. So the drug stores get larger amounts of particular ingredient, which are then divided into tinier parts, properly combined and packed in tinier containers for patients. The pharmacist informs the client how to store this medicine and how long it can be used without losing its properties.

A medicine is an exceptional product, which needs to be packed carefully and magazined in particular conditions. All the procedure guarantees that pharmaceutical gets in patient’s hands in perfect shape and its value is fully retained.
